Perth, WA: Kings Park

Today’s tidbit: “Happiness flutters in the air whilst we rest among the breaths of nature.” ― Kelly Sheaffer

Perth: nature meets city, city meets nature. Spent a lovely afternoon wandering around popular Kings Park, which provides unique opportunities to connect with nature in the heart of the city. I visited Kings Park the day I landed also, but it was pouring out so we just drove around. This is definitely a place I want to explore further and would spend a lot of time at if, no when, I go back to Perth.

Since it was winter when I was here we didn’t see too much in the gardens so I will have to come back in the spring/summer (with my camera in hand)!

It really is a huge beautiful park in the city. Who wants to go have a picnic and spend a day exploring here?

Fantastic photos. Love those pink hotpants. I think there is more than one picnic awaiting! The weather is warming up and so it’s the perfect time for an outdoor meal at Fraser’s restaurant. Before that though, if you are lucky (I’m not sure if they are still operating), you might be able to go on a camel ride!

Yes, lots of picnics await! I also want to sit on the hill watching the sunset with my camera/tripod and get some night shots of the city! Either along another road trip and/or here definitely have to do a camel ride next time.
