Recap: Changes + June

Today’s tidbit: “It’s a new morning, which means a new beginning, a new struggle, and a new endeavor. We can overcome any challenge, and turn obstacles into stepping-stones.”

It’s a new week AND a new month! Leaving behind June, I started July off with a run in the rain this morning… clearing my mind and starting the new day off right!

June recap

June was certainly a busy month, full of ups and downs… and of course change. As I mentioned in my reflection post about what’s been going on, 2013 has been a rough year so far! BUT the black cloud is finally fading away and the storm is running out of rain, as Gary Allen would say (I listened to this song a lot). I am so much stronger now.
Everything is finally setting me free and things are starting to line up. I know there is something more and I am looking forward to the rest of 2013 because I know it will be better, full of growth and new experiences.

So, why was June so busy?

As I mentioned before, the beginning–mid June: Left TGD + Started freelance + Mary Kay consultant + House under contract + Pamela’s wedding

  1. Mid May I decided to leave TGD, with June 1st making it official. Although the timing was a surprise, it was a mutual agreement to move on. I am looking for my next opportunity, hopefully on the west coast!
  2. For now I’m working on freelance, including a 4-piece project for GMU that went to the printer this week.
I also have a few other projects lining up, stay tuned.
  3. I am now a Mary Kay consultant and am enjoying the events, networking and pampering friends.
  4. The house is now under contract and I am currently helping my dad look for our next home in Maryland.
  5. One of my best friends, Pamela (remember their beautiful engagement and shower?!) got married and I couldn’t be happier for them

And now wrapping up June: Crystal, Sam and Raeley’s photo shoot + New York + House sold + Offer on new house

  1. I did a photo shoot with Crystal and Sam (remember their maternity photo shoot?!) and their adorable 8 month old baby girl, Raeley.
  2. I’ve been in upstate New York the last week, I’ll be driving back tomorrow. It’s been a good trip spending time with family.
  3. While I’ve been in New York, my dad told me the house is now officially sold! It will be weird pulling in the driveway tomorrow and seeing the sold sign out front.
  4. My dad and I have been looking at many houses in Maryland. While I’ve been in New York (yes, it seems everything has happened this week!) my dad put an offer on a beautiful brand new house we looked at. It’s looking good, but still in negotiation stage so we’ll see. Fingers crossed.

Aren’t they just the cutest family?! Full blog post coming soon!

Yes, there’s so many cute ones! Just wait till you see the full blog post.

Nina is Cody’s girlfriend, he was getting jealous when Nina and Sammy were playing but they all learned to get along.

Loved having you up in rainy, hot NY- you sure brought the smiles out in Grandpa! What a great picture of him- I don’t think he wanted you to go home…. Sure has been a rough last couple of months, I agree- keep your head up and just push forward- you never know what is around the corner, could be an opportunity of a lifetime when you least expect it!!!
