Impromptu Fall + Halloween {little details} session
Today’s tidbit: “Even if something is left undone, everyone must take time to sit still and watch the leaves turn.” ― Elizabeth Lawrence
HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Taking a quick break from the South Africa posts to get into the fall season!
As you know by now I am all about the little details. Do you remember my impromptu {little details} session | Old Town, Alexandria, VA posts (part 1, part 2 & part 3)? With the gorgeous fall weather this week, wandering around with a camera was the perfect way to spend an afternoon. I decided to do some more impromptu {little detail} sessions focusing on fall and Halloween. I went back to Old Town, Alexandria, VA as well as the neighborhood I am now at in Upper Marlboro, MD.

It is weird coming back to Alexandria but I still enjoy it. After a wonderful lunch spent catching up with one of my best friends Pamela, we enjoyed spending the afternoon walking around taking in the fresh air, changing leaves and little details. No matter what street you explore, there is something new to see – especially with the fall season and all of the decorations. Pamela got used to me stopping every few steps to capture something 🙂 Old Town is just full of charm!
I love this shot (below) of the dog peaking through the blinds!
And last but not least, Halloween Sammy! The last few years he was a bumblebee (pictures below) but this year I mixed it up with a fire chief. I took a few pictures of him in it this morning, along with his new Halloween toy. How cute is he?! 🙂
Isn’t fall just lovely? Have a wonderful Halloween + weekend everyone! Check back next week for another South Africa post.
Love the festive photos! It was even better to wander around and have a bestie lunch date together 🙂 Xoxo
It was the perfect day for a lunch date and impromptu shoot enjoying the fall weather. So glad we got to do this!
The bumble bee Sammy makes me happy. Also, loved the big spider decorations. Too cool! You captured Fall so well. 😉
Secretly he likes it! There were antennas to go with that costume too, but he hated those.
Thank you! Good ol’ Old Town right? Just little details every where!
Great decorations you found! And sammy looks adorable/doofus-like as always haha
Thank you! He is pretty cute
Beautiful pictures of Fall/Halloween! Well captured. Who is that cute dog in the pictures? Love
Thanks dad! And that would be a little doofus/your grandpup
