Perth, WA: Exploring Perth, day & night
Today’s tidbit: “Unexplored paths lead to undiscovered treasures.” ― Constance Chuks Friday
Just a beautiful winter day in WA. After the road trip up north, the remaining time in Perth was spent exploring as much of the area and meeting with as many design firms (last weeks post) as I could. This was really the first full day where nothing was planned, just a fun Saturday driving and wandering around Perth + surrounding neighborhoods and parks.

{morning: neighborhoods + parks} Driving and stopping in different neighborhoods and parks to wander around and take in the stunning views. Nice to talk with and see the locals all out and about enjoying the weekend. Since it was winter, the city was getting a good amount of rain and everything was nice and green. There are so many parks, marinas, paths along the river and areas in general to explore. I tried to get some pictures showing the variety of architecture and houses. I loved most areas were not builder/cookie cutter houses but more custom and original.
{afternoon: coffee stop + dog beach} We drove and stopped so many places it was hard to know where exactly I was but it was all lovely. Since there are so many pristine beaches around Perth, it only makes sense there would be many dog beaches as well. Sammy would have fun here.
After a busy morning exploring, had a late lunch/snack + wine back at the flat before going out.
{evening: East Perth + Northbridge} The flat is in a very convenient location, right off of Adelaide Terrace, in East Perth. In the evening we walking along the Swan River over to East Perth and then over to Northbridge for dinner. Northbridge is full of dining, shopping and night life. It was a lot of walking and was getting quite cloudy but luckily it didn’t rain until the end of the night. Of course, I had my camera snapping along the way.
East Perth here, you can see Perth in the background.
Outdoor mall & Northbridge.
Entrees: Calamari and smoked salmon. Delicious.
Main: Gluten free risotto with veggies & herbs.
Rainy walk back to the flat after dinner.
Loved this building at night, close to the flat.
Such a wonderful day! Check back next week as I share Kings Park.
Looks like a great day! Thanks for sharing.
It really was! Thanks for following.
Oh, lovely Perth! I lived there for a few years, would love to go back. Looks like you had a nice trip. Any plans to go back?
Oh that’s awesome, thanks for commenting. I am hoping to go back the beginning of 2015!
Great day! Lots of beaches, parks and riverside adventure areas for Sammy to play in!
Yup, lots for Sammy and I to explore!
So when exactly are we going there? Lovely, no wonder you are in love with WA!
Hmmmmm… you know my answer. I’d go tomorrow if I could!
Enjoying the photos and your experiences. What was the average temperature during the day and evening?
Glad to hear you’re enjoying. It was winter in Perth (June-August) so the average daily temp is around 9-18°C. Up north is warmer (yes, everything is opposite from the US) which is why we road tripped up there for the beaches. It was cooler in Perth but considering it was winter there it was lovely!
