Rewind + June | Pamela & Sim + Old Town Alexandria engagement session
Today’s tidbit: “The greatest thing you’ll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return.” — Eden Ahbez
I was thrilled when I was asked to be a bridesmaid, and honored when I was asked to take engagement pictures of one of my favorite couples and close friends. Pamela was my partner in crime and one of my roommates at GMU. We have only grown closer since graduating. I have to say knowing when Sim was going to propose was one of the biggest, and hardest, secrets I have ever had to keep.

When it comes to engagement pictures, and photography in general, I think it’s the candid shots that are taken when no one thinks you’re looking which are the strongest and most memorable photos. I enjoy poses and playing with lighting and location, but really catching the love two people share in the moment is what I want to capture.
Congratulations Pamela & Sim! I hope you enjoy these pictures as much as I enjoyed capturing them. Looking forward to the big day in June 2013.
