March | Winter or Spring?
Today’s tidbit: “The color of springtime is in the flowers; the color of winter is in the imagination.”
— Terri Guillemets
I am ready for Spring to come, but apparently Mother Nature is getting one last (hopefully) snow storm in on the east coast! I am a warm, sunny weather girl, but I will admit that snow is beautiful and I enjoy the changes each season brings. It is snowing like crazy now in Alexandria, VA!

Just a few pictures working from home today. I am enjoying… comfy clothes + sipping tea + music playing + waxworks candles burning (and smelling amazing) + spending time with my roommates + watching the snow cover the trees + Sammy with his head on my lap…
For those of you working from home today, what are you enjoying? For those that have to be out and about,
be careful!
Since this is a winter post, I thought I’d tag on a little recap of February. A delicious Valentine’s Day dinner followed by a surprise weekend in D.C. John planned, complete with ice-skating in Washington Harbour and a delicious dinner by the fire. It was a perfect way to end the winter season and start March, which I thought would bring warmer weather with it (contrary to today’s wintry white weather!).
The only hint John told me was that it involved penguins. Naturally, I thought this meant the zoo or a movie. Come to find out, it was ice-skating, which was beautiful lit and near the water… and there happened to be these fun penguins for little kids support themselves on. I loved the surprise and thought that was put into it!
